TokMaket is a Papua New Guinea marketplace for goods, wanted listings, services, jobs, Staff Available resumes, transport, Starlink listings, Kokoda Trekking, Kokoda Trekking Staff, Camp Notices, resort packages, Village Stays and charter requests. This privacy policy explains how TokMaket handles information provided by members, companies, candidates and visitors.
Information We Collect
TokMaket may collect information you provide when creating an account, posting a listing, posting a job, creating a company profile, uploading a resume, sending a message, registering as an operator or staff member, submitting photos, reporting a listing, applying for work, or contacting admin. This may include your name, email address, phone number, WhatsApp number, location, business details, company contact details, profile details, work history, skills, licences, availability, expected pay, resume files, application messages, listing information, messages, photos and related account activity.
Jobs, Resumes and Company Access
If you create a Staff Available profile, the information you add may be used to display your resume profile on TokMaket and help companies contact you about work. Your display name, photo, main job title, town or province, skills, experience, education, licences, languages, availability and work preferences may be visible on your public resume profile once approved.
Your phone number and email address are stored by TokMaket. They are only shown publicly where you choose the public display options, but they may still be available to TokMaket admins for moderation and support. If you apply for a job or message a company, the company may see your profile details, contact details you provide, cover message and resume file where attached or linked.
If you create a company profile or post a job, your company name, logo, business type, location, contact person, phone number, email address, website and job details may be displayed publicly once approved. Candidates may also see company details when applying or messaging.
Public Information
Information added to public listings, services, job posts, company profiles, Staff Available resumes, transport routes, Kokoda Trekking pages, Kokoda Trekking Staff resumes, resort packages and similar public pages may be visible to site visitors. Only add information, phone numbers, photos, logos and resume details that you are comfortable showing publicly or sharing with companies, candidates or other TokMaket members.
How We Use Information
TokMaket uses information to operate the marketplace, display listings, help members contact each other, review and approve content, reduce spam or misuse, provide account access, respond to support requests, improve site reliability and maintain basic site security.
Messages and Contact Details
Members may use TokMaket messaging or public contact details to make enquiries, apply for jobs, contact candidates or discuss listings. TokMaket stores message content so that senders, receivers and admins can access it where needed for the service, moderation, safety or support. Do not send passwords, bank logins, sensitive identity documents, medical information or other highly sensitive information through TokMaket messages.
Photos and Uploaded Files
Photos, logos and resume files uploaded to TokMaket may be stored and reviewed by admin before public display or use. Profile photos, company logos and listing photos should belong to you or be uploaded with permission from the person or business shown. Resume files should be your own and should not include information you do not want companies or admins to see.
Site Logs and Analytics
TokMaket may record basic technical information such as page views, IP address, browser information, timestamps and button or link activity. This helps monitor usage, troubleshoot errors and understand which parts of the site are useful.
Sharing Information
TokMaket does not sell member personal information. Information may be shown publicly where you choose to publish it, shared with companies or candidates when you apply, message or respond to a job enquiry, shared with admins for moderation and support, or disclosed if required for site security, legal compliance, fraud prevention or protection of users.
Employer and Candidate Responsibility
Companies and candidates who receive personal information through TokMaket should use it only for the relevant job, application, enquiry or marketplace purpose. They should not misuse, sell, publish or forward another person's resume, phone number, email address or private details without permission.
Account Access and Updates
Members can update account information and many listing, company and resume details through their account pages. Some changes may require admin approval before public display. You may set some profiles inactive, remove uploaded files where the form allows it, or contact admin if you need help correcting or removing information.
Retention
TokMaket may keep account records, messages, applications, uploaded files, moderation records and logs for as long as needed to operate the site, support users, prevent misuse, keep audit records or meet legal and safety requirements. Deleted or inactive content may not disappear immediately from backups or logs.
Data Security
TokMaket uses reasonable steps to protect accounts and site information, but no online service can guarantee complete security. Members are responsible for using strong passwords and keeping account access private.
Children
TokMaket is intended for people old enough to trade, work, travel or arrange services responsibly. Children should not create accounts or post personal contact details without appropriate adult supervision.
Changes to This Policy
TokMaket may update this privacy policy as the site changes. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new last-updated date.
